The Second Best Of Glose

Melissa Bird Nothing boring about this band or its big full sound. I hear the influence of The Jesus Lizard & NonMeansNo in there, especially in the Bass department. Plus.. They have a song about a Live Butcher & play shows at Roller Rinks (Their I've set will burn you with fire). Doesn't get much cooler. Favorite track: Wake Up Winborn.

kjshaffer Late to the party on this absolute ripper. I wish there were a lot more Seattle bands like this. It's heavy without being dumbed-down, smart without being pretentious. Is it metal? Is it punk? Is it prog? Who cares - just let the riffs wash over you. Favorite track: My Drone.

my drone she comes away from me she use my flesh for her artery my drone she’s a pony she run away from me she got the mark of the archon she got blood on the wings as I tighten the ratchet and turn her distribution I’m setting up the remote as my second throat and when she’s ready to go I’ll sing to her you’re not a machine anymore magnificent you’re not a machine anymore I watch your propellers cut through the sunlight your bruise colored circles blacken the sky of all the things that I’ve loved and have ever set free my drone was the only thing to come back to me my drone get your hands up

I remember riding on the back of my mom’s motorbike we were way out of town deep in the woods somehow we rode through some thistles I was covered in them some were in my skin so she stopped the bike she tried to take them out but no matter how much it hurt I refused to feel well I got so good at this it became a game I still play this game I never want it to stop don’t need a thirsty nurse you’ll never help me feel it don’t need to help me know I need a hungry doctor to tell me everything she can not ever sell me it’s only something that might just kill me I might be hungry but I run on empty don’t need a thirsty nurse you’ll never help me feel it don’t need to help me know I see your pulley to pull right through me the quills inside me well let them rule me cuz somewhere inside this broken body there is a zombie who runs on empty don’t need a thirsty nurse you’ll never help me feel it don’t need to help me know on the way home we got passed by a hearse cry thirst panic sweat thirst panic sweat thirst

just like a tobacconist you keep him like a slave as you push your tobacco moth straight to the flame you bathed him in the nicotine for days on straight then you took it all from him and locked it away and when you signed up for anything you signed it away now she gets inside of you but never all the way he’s holding a battle axe he’s holding a trophy she’s holding a bottle of pills to fight back the biology you take him to a hypnotist to scare it away but the swing of her amulet it came on like a nightshade she’s giving off the pesticide that can stop a train she’s going for the oxygen he smokes them in chains and when you signed up for anything you signed it away now she gets inside of you but never all the way he’s holding a battle axe he’s holding a trophy she’s holding a bottle of pills to fight back the biology smoke smoke smoke addicted brain it ruminates
